User Guide

1. User Sign up

Open browser with address http://domain.com/ictfax where “domain.com” is name of domain / ip address where server is running. login the system using following default login credentials
username = ictfax
password = demofax

Click on administrator => users => "add user" , a form will appear where you have to input required fields.
Username
Email Address
User Name
Address
PhoneNo
FaxNo
SMS No

After account approval an Email will be sent to you with user name and password, you can use this password to login to his web portal.

2. User Login

Open browser with address http://domain.com/ictfax and login system using user name and password which has been send to you through email. After Login you will see your information. You will see a menu left side on the screen where you can view and edit information.

3. Add Payment

1. Click on “Voip Account” in left side menu. It will show List of account codes (see 'Account Code' section for more detail) that are created under your account.
2. Click on “Top Up” Button in front of Accout no. against which you are intersted to pay.
A form will be appear.
3. You have to type amount you want to pay
4. and click “Pay Now” button, it will redirect you to PayPal website when finished you will
be redirected back to our website and amount you have paid will be transfered to your account.

4. How to send fax

There are two method for send fax
1. Send fax by Email client
2. Send fax by User portal

4.1 Send fax by User Portal

Click on Fax Account => Create new Fax A form will appear
1. Enter phone number where you want to send fax,
note: there is no need of any dialing prefix/ any + sign
2 Select account code from where you want to send fax
3.Enter Message It will be sent as Fax header.
Note: If you does not attach any file as described in next section it will be use as Fax Body.
4. Fax File It will send as main body of fax. Following fax files are supported
Microsoft Word, Openoffice Writer, tif, pdf, jpg text file

4.2 Sending fax by Email.

To send fax from your Email you must follow,
note: Use same email address to send faxes which is used for registration on this system. Otherwise your mail will be rejcted.

1. Open mail client
2. Compose an email using following instructions against given email fields
To:Type fax number where you want to send fax along with domain name given by administrator against To: field using format like xxxxxxx@faxdomain.com where xxxxxx is fax number where to send fax and faxdomain.com is domain name, please also note that there is no need of any dialing prefix/ any + sign,
Subject: Subject will use as fax header
Email Body: Body should be write like below
pass: xxxx
(at least one empty line)
Some text here
File Attachment: It will be use as Fax Body ( Text for Fax). File type can be Microsoft Word, OpenOffice Writer, PDF, JPG ,TIFF

as above here xxxx is password for sending fax, if there is no password email will be rejected, and “some text here” will be used as fax body if there is no file attached with email
Note: password must be in the beginning of the email body before any thing else. And must be. Contain "<colon><space>" like ": " between word 'pass' and actual password. for example "pass: mypassword"
Note: while sending Chinese fax as email body please make sure that your email client have support for UTF8 and this is currently selected encoding.

5. How to Recieve Fax

Click on "Voip Account"
Click on "Incoming nubmers"
Click on left button "change" to configure email address where to recieve fax

6. How to send SMS

Note: PSTN Lines either using digium cards or sangoma cards should support SMS

There are two method for send SMS
1. Send SMS by Email client
2. Send SMS by User porta

6.1 Send SMS by User Portal

Click on SMS Out Box => Create new SMS, A form will appear
1. Enter phone number where you want to send sms,
2. Select account code from where user want to send SMS
3. Message It will be sent as SMS Text
Note: if text length become more then 160 (Latin), 140 (UCS) or 70 (Chinese) characters it will send first 160 ,140 or 70 character and send remaining text with second SMS with 30 sec delay

6.2 Send SMS by Email

To send SMS from you must have follow,
1. Open mail client
2. Compose an email, using following instructions against given email fields
To: Type fax number where you want to send fax along with domain name given by administrator. Format will be xxxxxxx@smsdomain.com where xxxxxx is fax number where to send fax and smsdomain.com is domain name, please also note that there is no need of any dialing prefix/ any + sign,
Subject: N/A. Enter whatever you like
Email Body: Body should be write like this
pass: xxxx
(at least one empty line)
Some text here after password enter your message that you want to send.

as above here xxxx is password for sending sms, if there is no password email will be rejected,
Note: password must be in the beginning of the email body before any thing else. And must be. Contain "<colon><space>" like ": " between word 'pass' and actual password. for example "pass: mypassword"
